Zimbabwean Artists Raise Their Flag High In Rwanda

Point Black Entertainment’s Jordan MoOzy was honoured with an invitation to perform at ACCES 2024, Music In Africa’s conference for collaborations, exchange and showcases held in Kigali, Rwanda.  The showcases which are the headline of the Access Music Festival featured some of the continent’s most dedicated stars such as Nasty C, Heavy K, Zaki Abrahim and Assa Matusse. Jordan MoOzy gave an electrified performance on the second night of the event that left fans and attendees awestruck as he performed a series of unreleased tracks set to be released on his upcoming Pretty Boys World Wide project.

Flanked by members of the Shabach band who supported him on stage and their enigmatic band leader Spirit Fingerz, the set also featured a surprise performance from King98 who brought a renewed level of energy as he performed a remix to his hit song Kachiri supported by Jordan Moozy.

Jordan MoOzy supported by Shabach The Band and King 98 were also booked to perform at the increasingly popular Sofar Kigali event the following night.

While in Rwanda for their Acces performance, Jordan Moozy, Spirit Fingerz and King 98 were also invited to a writing camp hosted in partnership with Universal Music Publishing and Vth Season that took place between 13 and 15 November in Kigali, Rwanda. Zimbabwean trio impressed at the camp while working on well over 10 songs with some of the continent's most promising talents such as King Kivumbi, Heavy K, Booukouru and many more.

Producer Spirit Fingerz helmed the official camp theme song while the proudly Zimbabwean contingent included artists like Banshee, Indigo and Bantu Spaceship. Other splendid artists from Rwanda, South Africa, Uganda, Ethiopia, Liberia, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Nigeria made contributions to the recording camp which birthed several collaborations. The entire program was a creative goldmine, with an array of activity spread across keynotes,  masterclasses, exhibitions, industry talks and live shows.
