The Challenge: A New Look, A Vital Message
When Pernod Ricard globally refreshed the iconic Jameson Original green bottle in 2025, it represented a significant evolution for the brand. The new design features a cleaner label, an updated silhouette, and a bold new visual identity.
However, for Brand Redwire Distributors (BRD) in Zimbabwe, this global update presented a unique local challenge. Point Black had previously developed the highly successful Jameson "Buy Original" campaign for BRD, a crucial initiative designed to combat counterfeiting by educating consumers on specific security features found on the bottle.
With the new bottles landing in Zimbabwe, BRD needed an updated set of assets to inform their customers and consumers of Jameson Irish Whiskey about the updated packaging and #BuyOriginal signifiers.
Buy Original Signifers
The updated packaging now has the following #BuyOriginal signifiers
The clear plastic seal on the neck.
The newly updated raised/embossed lettering on the front of the Jameson bottle sticker (specifically the "Crafted for Smoothness at the Midleton Distillery" text)
The holographic security sticker has a scannable QR code.
The white 'Drink Responsibly' sticker.
To maximise engagement on social channels, our videography team created dynamic B-roll and explainer cuts.
The Results
Within the tight 3-week deadline, Point Black delivered a comprehensive, updated asset library to BRD. The final deliverables included:
High-definition product photography.
Updated multi-slide social media "Buy Original" explainers.
Dynamic, social-first explainer videos and B-roll.
Print-ready files for updated Trade POS (Banners, Posters, Shelf Talkers).
