ABOUT HALU!

The Afro House DJ and producer known by HALU! is a mysterious and elusive figure. His persona and sound are eclectic, distinct, and, unique as he fuses the elements of Afrotech, Electro House and African Traditional Music to create his own unique sonic offering.

HALU! was created by veteran DJ and producer Reverb7 as the antithesis to the genre-bending sounds that allowed Reverb7 to become one of Zimbabwe’s most sought-after performers and composers. Where Reverb7 is liberal with his selections, HALU! is militant and dogmatic in his approach to his only true passion - Afro House.  HALU! sees the world in binary codes, the Ones and Zeros that fill his periphery bleed into his music and his persona. The synths and kick drums of his only focus refuel him and much like a machine, many wonder if he ever sleeps.

His android-like work rate has already allowed him to synthesise 2 new releases for mid-2022 - just a few months after his inception. His debut EP-  Call Me HALU! That features collaborations with celebrated Zimbabwean vocalists Tina Masawi, Adiona Chidzonga and Ulethu, and Reverb7 Vs HALU!, which features reworked songs of his more popular alter ego that HALU! upgraded while Reverb7 slept.

HALU! Only has one mission. Afro House to the World!
