Zimbabwe's most accomplished DJ- Raydizz recently added another impressive notch to his belt by securing a song placement on the second of the incredibly popular Blood & Water TV series.
Raydizz' song title In2You featuring dancehall star Poptain and US-based vocalist Midori was initially released late last year and enjoyed a good run on both local and international radio, including features on Apple Music, Audiomack and Boomplay.
Now the Dancehall-Pop fusion song is enjoying a second jolt of popularity after it was snapped up by the show's producers to be used in the show's opening episode of season 2.
"This is a great feeling and it was hard to keep the news a secret until the show's release" shared Raydizz. "When I made this song a few people didn't understand the sound, but it's a great feeling when you get the validation from the fans and platforms like Netflix. In2You is quickly becoming one of my biggest releases ever."
Blood & Water is one of Netflix most popular shows, in their recent submission to South Africa’s Parliament, Netflix revealed that Blood & Water’s first season had 14 million viewers outside South Africa and for every 1 South Africa who viewed the show, 35 international viewers tuned in. His aspirations may have not have been as clearly defined as other children who wanted to be either a policeman or a doctor, but he knew that art and music were going to be the end goal. Growing up, RayDizz ruminates playing with his father’s vinyl collection and being the resident DJ at family braais on Sunday.
